Thank you to all our givers! Your support is crucial to St. Christopher’s operation!
So:
-If you have not received a statement but made donations, please contact the office, the Stewardship Committee, or the Finance Committee for follow-up.
-If you have received a statement but found it is not correct for some reason (donations not credited, incorrect amounts, etc.), please contact the office, the Stewardship Committee, or the Finance Committee for follow-up.
-If you have questions, please contact the Stewardship Committee or the Finance Committee.
We need to know how well these statements reflect our progress on pledge income for this year, and we need your help with feedback. Please also do everything possible to keep your pledge up-to-date. We are still operating with a deficit for the year and need everyone’s help for our parish support!
Thank you again from St. Christopher’s!

The common table of shared spirit.
The “From Altar to Table” spiritual direction group bridges Sunday worship with daily life. The aim is to explore and share traditions that reflect God’s presence in our everyday life and interactions. The group will invite the sacredness of The Altar and the communal nature of a table. Conversation and story sharing will be the group’s strength. The group will use a spiritual direction formation program written with this goal in mind.
The program will begin with a coffee tradition from the Caribbean called “Café Colao”. This presentation will have a short prayer liturgy and will culminate with good conversation and story sharing. This coffee ritual is performed with care and when served, it creates a setting where the group participants can gather in a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.
We all have “little liturgies” that we have learned from family traditions, heard of, or created that are a part of our lives or that we would like to adopt to our daily, weekly, or monthly routines. The group will discover together the everyday holiness present in our lives.
Group sessions:
First session: Introduction with presentation and conversation. (Sep 6th, 9a-noon)
Second and other sessions will be a participant story sharing and group reflection. (2nd Thu, 2-3p, Sep-Nov)
Please contact Rev. Alyssa if you are interested in participating.
The information age has taken its toll on so many, including our understanding of Christianity and the Bible. Sometimes it’s best to get back to the basics. We’ll start a two year Bible study this fall.
Sessions begin with a quick supper then lessons at 6:00pm. Your presence is welcome at one or all six sessions. There will be no meeting on Wed, Sep 17.
Our first session will be on the Torah (1st five books of the Bible)
SPIRITUAL RESOURCES
Episcopal Relief & Development: Prayers During Disasters
RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE ON THE EPISCOPAL DIOCESE OF TEXAS WEBPAGE.
Ever heard the long standing joke that good Episcopalians take the summer off? Well, this season is no different! Many of our families have some wonderful adventures planned, so why not take us with you? Not the whole church mind you, just Flat St. Chris. He is the patron saint of travelers after all!
Yes, that’s right, we have a Flat St. Chris. He just the right size to fit in any carry on. Flat St. Chris is the perfect travel buddy—no complaints about legroom and always ready for an adventure. We encourage you to share your journeys so we can keep in touch on your travels.
So take a few pictures of him on your vacations or have someone else take a picture of you with your Flat St. Chris on your phone. Send to the office or post to our social (#stchrisjourneys) and please include your location. We’d love to see where he winds up! You can find Flat St. Chris in the Narthex or you can download him here.
There may even be awards for things like most locations, most creative, furthest from St. Christopher’s. If you have any ideas, let us know.
Not traveling, no problem, you can still join the fun, think of some crazy and cool places around Austin or even your home.
We will be tracking his travels (and yours) around the country and the world on a map in the parish hall.
Even though the videos drop on Fridays @ 7p and sometimes includes Friday prayers, if you enjoy it, try it on another day or time.
Anyone can lead a daily office service, so if you are interested in leading one, please let the office know.
Solidifying our Lenten practice of providing household supplies to Travis County’s Family Support Services, we will continue to gather toilet paper (4pks easiest to store and dispense), cleaning supplies (dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, spray cleaner, sponges, etc).
Call or text Cathy if you would like more information, or contact the office.
