Rev. Alyssa's
sermons

St. Christopher’s seeks to know and love God more deeply through our joyful worship, welcoming community and service to the world.

Connecting with the Gospel - @9AM

This contemplative practice requires no preparation! Join us as we prayerfully read the Gospel of the day and listen for how God is speaking into our lives through the scripture. We meet in the parish hall.

Godly Play - @10AM

Children gather on the playground next to the church. Our Children’s Minister shares a story with them using a Montessori method of Godly Play. It is a fun and engaging way to help kids come to know who God is in their life. Appropriate for ages 5-11 years old.

Holy Eucharist Rite II

Our liturgy follows the form outlined in the Book of Common Prayer, using traditional and contemporary prayers. We listen to scripture, hear a sermon, and then share Holy Communion, also known as the Eucharist. Our music includes traditional hymns, spirituals, and contemporary songs. What to wear? People come in sport coats or jeans and boots. Simply come in a way that makes you comfortable to commune with God. Children are welcome in worship, but during the pandemic they have been experiencing children’s formation and communion outside to protect them. The service lasts about an hour.

Fellowship Hour

We gather for hospitality and to catch up with one another over coffee in the Parish Hall. Each Sunday a hospitality team provides food and coffee. It’s a special time to share community and fellowship with one another.
