PrayingHandsWelcome!

This is Palm Sunday, acknowledging Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. In biblical times, the regional custom called for kings and nobles arriving in procession to ride on the back of a donkey. The donkey was a symbol of peace; those who rode upon them proclaimed peaceful intentions. The laying of palm branches indicated that the king or dignitary was arriving in victory or triumph.

This is the last Sunday for special Adult Classes for Lent. Father Bo will be discussing the Crucifixion, using a study guide produced by Morehouse Education Resources (a division of Church Publishing Incorporated) in cooperation with Candler School of Theology. What Wondrous Love explores the Holy Week events from the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. The special adult class begins at 9 am in Parish Hall. Children's Sunday School is at 9:30 and Worship Service at 10 am. Please join us for delicious refreshments and wonderful company in the Parish Hall immediately following services.

Welcome to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. We currently have an average Sunday attendance of about 90 members and we are growing. We are a small but healthy and inclusive congregation. We invite you to come and experience all that this parish family has to offer.

We have something for everyone and especially for children. Whether your gift is teaching children or helping with worship services or singing in the choir, we have a place for you at St. Christopher's.  And, you are more than welcome just to come and worship with us.

The church sits on a small hill looking over the Barton Creek Preserve giving us a spectacular view of the surrounding area. We are continuing to enhance the beauty of the site with plantings of native Texas wildflowers.  One of most popular areas of the church is the walking trail, which depicts the Stations of the Cross and is used during our Good Friday service. There is always a breeze up on the hill, reminding us of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Please feel free to join us at our Sunday Service at 10:00 am or contact me with any questions. We hope you will visit and find a home here.
